PokeSurvivor is a free online Pokemon survivor game (a bullet heaven / survivor-like) that runs entirely in your web browser. You choose a partner Pokemon, then survive waves of wild Pokemon that never stop coming. Every level-up you pick a new attack or upgrade, evolve your build, and push deeper into hordes, rifts and legendary encounters. No download, no launcher, no install — just press play.
PokeSurvivor is an independent fan-made action roguelite built around the survivor formula: auto-attacking, wave clearing, fast level-ups and runs that last somewhere between ten and thirty minutes. Instead of the gothic horror cast you find in Vampire Survivors, PokeSurvivor leans on a full monster-catching roster of 966 Pokemon, including starters, evolutions, legendaries and rare shiny variants.
The loop is simple to learn and hard to put down. You walk, your attacks fire on their own, enemies drop experience, and every level-up pauses the action to offer you a choice: a new attack, a stat boost, or an evolution path for something you already own. Stack the right picks and a weak starter turns into a screen-clearing monster. Pick badly and the horde buries you.
What separates this poke survivor game from a hundred other browser clones is the partner system and the co-op. Your partner Pokemon fights beside you with its own behaviour, and up to four players can share a run online. Together you cover more of the map, split the horde and revive each other when a legendary lands a clean hit.
If you have played the big monster-catching RPGs for years and you want something with the same creatures but a completely different pace, this is the gap it fills. It is a browser game first: it loads in seconds, it works on a school Chromebook or an old laptop, and it does not ask for your card. It is also a genuine roguelite, not a reskin — builds matter, rifts scale, and legendary encounters punish greedy play.
You can be inside a run in under a minute. Here is the whole flow, from opening the page to your first legendary rift.
Controller and keyboard: the game is keyboard-first on desktop. A gamepad works through the browser's standard gamepad API in most Chromium browsers. On mobile, touch is the intended input.
Everything the game ships with, without a store page or a paywall in sight.
Starters, evolutions, regional forms, legendaries and mythicals. Build a team around the creatures you actually like, not the three the game hands you.
Rare shiny variants spawn mid-run. Catch them to keep them, then show them off in co-op where everyone can see your partner.
Online lobbies for up to four friends with shareable room codes. Split the horde, cover each other, and take down legendaries as a group.
Timed rift challenges scale with your build and end in a legendary encounter that punishes sloppy positioning and rewards real upgrades.
Four attack slots, evolution branches, stat multipliers and item pickups. Two runs with the same starter can end up completely different.
Lightweight HTML5 that works on Chromebooks, old laptops, Android phones and iPhones. No plugin, no emulator, no install.
The mobile build is not an afterthought. Touch controls are built for one thumb, and the whole game fits a phone screen.
Rotate your phone sideways before you start. Portrait still works, but landscape gives you a much wider view of the horde, which matters once the screen fills up around level 20.
Drag anywhere on screen to move. Tap an attack slot to swap or inspect it. Nothing needs a second hand, and the pause button doubles as a settings menu.
Tap the Fullscreen button under the game for an edge-to-edge view with no browser bars. On iPhone, where fullscreen support varies, use Open in a new tab instead.
The game is small and caches itself after the first load, so replays cost almost no data. Expect normal browser gaming battery use; drop brightness if you are playing a long co-op session.
Survivor-likes all share a skeleton. Here is where PokeSurvivor sits next to the games people usually compare it with, so you know what you are getting before you press play.
| Game | Free to play | Browser, no install | Monster-catching roster | Online co-op |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PokeSurvivor | Yes | Yes | 966 Pokemon | Up to 4 |
| Vampire Survivors | Freemium on mobile | No | No | Local co-op only |
| Typical survivor-like portals | Yes | Yes | Rarely | Rarely |
| Mainline monster-catching RPGs | Paid | No | Yes | Limited |
In short: if you want the collection and the creatures but you also want a fast, repeatable, zero-install action game, PokeSurvivor is the specific overlap. If you want a long story campaign, a mainline RPG is still the better fit. More comparisons live on our pokelike games page.
No. PokeSurvivor.games is an unofficial fan portal. We did not make the game, we do not own it, and we are not affiliated with its developers, with Nintendo, with Creatures Inc., with GAME FREAK inc. or with The Pokemon Company. We embed the game from its official public address, pokesurvivor.com, exactly as its developers publish it. If you want the authoritative source for the game, that is the site to use.
One more thing worth saying plainly, because scammers exploit confusion around exactly this kind of game: PokeSurvivor has no cryptocurrency, token, NFT or coin of any kind. Anyone offering you a "PokeSurvivor token", a presale, an airdrop or an investment tied to this game is not connected to it. The game is free to play and its developers have said the same thing. Do not connect a wallet to anything claiming otherwise.
Not the game you meant? If you searched for Pokemon Survivor Burst, that is a different fan game with its own wiki and roster. PokeSurvivor, Poke Survivor and PokéSurvivor are all spellings of the game on this page; Pokemon Survivor Burst is not.
